Sun Organics 100% Pure Peppermint Essential Oil (Mentha Piperita) - REVIEW

Sun Organics 100% Pure Peppermint Essential Oil

I was offered a free sample of this EO in exchange for an honest review. Seeing that I was actively seeking Peppermint EO I immediately jumped on this offer. This review is my honest opinion and is in no way influenced by receiving the product for free. (Please don't mind the photos, I have had this oil for some time so the bottle has gotten stained from the oils. I did not receive it looking like this!)

I would love to have left 5 stars for this as the product itself is great, however I think this needs a bit more information on it before it is 5-star worthy. First, the company name is Sun Organic, this is confusing as it makes you think that the oil is organic but nowhere on the label does it confirm this. I am uncertain if there is any way to confirm if this is organic or not.

The quality appears to be high but there is no content on the label to confirm what is actually inside aside from the 'Peppermint' on the front. The label states "essential oil blends are best used for aromatherapy through a diffuser", I assume that this is a generic label so this does not necessarily mean that it is a blend but it is confusing. I suggest that the company adds more information to the label to confirm what is actually inside.

The label states that this should not be used topically or orally, I understand that this is probably more of a safety warning than anything else as I know many people use Peppermint EO topically with no problems. I will be testing this further in very small amounts as I would love to be able to eventually use it as a massage oil. Also, the scent of this is amazing! It smells like it is certainly high quality, none of that fake/bad smell that some health store EOs can have. I would compare this to doTERRA and Young Living in quality.

Overall, this seems like a solid EO and is well worth the price. I would definitely suggest purchasing it but please be sure you are informed on how to use it properly and safely as the label is not really going to give you much help in that department.

Edit: I have noticed that the company is not called Sun Organic anymore. I take this to mean that their products are not in fact organic and I am happy the company has decided to clarify this.
